Is Star Wars Acolyte helping Star Wars improve?

This might contain spoilers!

Star Wars released a show called Acolyte on June 4, 2024. When Acolyte was released, it immediately got bad ratings. Why did it have awful ratings? What made it so terrible? So I watched the series to see if it really was that bad.

When I started watching the first episode, I noticed the effects were amazing. The opening crawl looked fine and after the introduction, I saw a so-called “Sith Assassin”. The Assassin was looking for a Jedi Master. Once she found the Jedi Master, she tried fighting her. The Jedi refused, but the Sith Assassin tried fighting her anyway. It eventually worked and after a duel, the Sith Assassin won. How? She was fighting a Jedi Master. A master outranks an assassin. The master should have won.

Later on in the episode, we see someone who looks identical to the Sith Assassin. The only difference is the clothes they wore and their behavior. One was more evil and the other was more virtuous. The twins interfered with each other later in the series and some people might find this confusing because of how identical they seemed.

There is one final thing that impaired the show and in my opinion, this was the worst one. The show was supposed to be a murder mystery about a Jedi being killed, but at the beginning of the first episode, they showed who the murderer was. It would have been more exciting or perhaps better if they kept the killer a secret.

Although the show has a lot of downsides, it still has some good qualities, like unique and connectable heroes, fascinating new planets, and exciting events. What do you think? Is Acolyte helping Star Wars?
